Accessibility

Rad Style Depot is owned and run by a Deaf founder, and accessibility is not a feature we added. It is the reason the business is shaped the way it is.

Every show is hosted in American Sign Language. ASL is the first language of this business, not an accommodation bolted onto it.

· Shows are hosted and sold in ASL, live.

· Claiming happens in writing, by comment, so no one has to use a phone to buy.

· Your whole history stays in writing in My Depot: claims, invoices, orders, prizes.

· The site never locks pinch-zoom, so you can enlarge any screen.

· Support runs in writing. There is no phone number to get past.

Audited 27 August 2026 against WCAG 2.1 levels A and AA, using axe-core 4.12 in a real browser, across every public page.

Three contrast failures were found and fixed the same day: two greys used on thirteen pages, and white text on the Unicorn Corporation brand colors. The brand colors were not changed. The text on them was.

Every public page now passes with zero automated violations.

The whole site can be operated without a mouse, and three things were fixed the same day to make that true.

You can now skip the navigation. Press Tab on any page and the first thing you get is a Skip to content link. Before this, a keyboard user tabbed through the same header links on every single page.

You can always see where you are. The browser default focus ring had been switched off in 94 places with nothing put back. Every focusable thing now shows a ring that stays visible on the dark pages and on the light ones.

Every page has a main region that the skip link lands in, so the jump moves your place, not just the scroll.

Nobody has run this site with a real screen reader. We checked what a screen reader reads: every control has a name, headings run in order, and the page regions are marked. That is not the same as a person using VoiceOver or NVDA to actually get through a live show, and we are not going to describe it as if it were.

The live claiming flow in particular has not been tested that way. It is the part of this business that moves fastest and it is the part we are least sure of.

An automated pass is a floor, not a certificate. If you use a screen reader and something here fails you, that is the report we most want.

Live video is not captioned in real time. The shows are conducted in sign, and spoken audio is not the channel, but we are not pretending captions exist.

Screen reader support across the live claiming flow has not been formally tested.
